The responsibility is up to the traveler to make sure they have the correct documents to travel.
For travel in the United States or any US territory including Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands a valid government issued picture ID is acceptable for travelers over the age of 18.
For international travel all US citizens of any age MUST have a valid passport that is in good condition to travel out of the country and to be able to return. Airline personnel will check passports before allowing passengers to board when leaving the country. Passengers will be denied boarding if they do not have the proper documents. The name on the reservation must match the name on the passport exactly (first, middle and last). In the event the name does not match you can be denied boarding.
Certain countries require that your passport be valid for 6 months after travel. Please check with the consulate of the country you are traveling to or contact us at Sun n Beach Travel.
For getting a new passport or renewing your passport please go to www.travel.state.gov. Sun n Beach Travel recommends that you apply for a new passport at least 10 weeks before departure.
Children under the age 18 that are unaccompanied will under no circumstance be allowed to travel.
For children under the age of 18 traveling to Mexico with only one parent or someone who is not a parent or legal guardian will need the following:
A notarized letter of consent signed by the non-traveling parent/s dated within one year of travel. The letter should include: Who, What, Where, When, Why and contact information for the non- traveling parent. In the event that one parent is deceased a Death certificate should be taken along. Proof that the parent traveling has sole custody of the minor can also be used. Any airline can ask for this information and can deny boarding if you do not have it. It is also recommended that this rule be followed for traveling anywhere internationally.
